Questions & Answers

Q: When and where is the wedding?

A: Our wedding will take place on the 31st of May at Ratskeller in Ludwigsburg, Germany.

Q: What time should we arrive?

A: We would like for people to arrive at 2:30 but recommend everyone to leave early because traffic in Ludwigsburg on a Saturday can be unpredictable, and you will need to find parking. (For those who are invited to the reception: make sure to find a garage that is open after midnight.)

Q: What happens if it rains?

A: Currently, we are planning to have an open-air ceremony. For the case that it will rain, we have a church venue in Korntal as a backup. If the location of the ceremony changes, we will email/or text you please check back on the website for updates!

Q: Where should we stay?

A: We recommend booking a hotel in Ludwigsburg or Korntal. We've listed a few options on our Accommodation page.

Q: What’s the best way to get to the venue?

A: If you stay in Ludwigsburg we recommand you to either walk to the ceremony or use an uber. If you’re staying in Korntal there will be options to carpool with other friends and family to the venue. But please make sure to arrange your rides before hand. If you're staying elsewhere and don't have access to a car, we recommend Uber or public transport.

Q: What should I wear?

A: Our dress code:
Cocktail Attire. We would love for our guests to dress up for the occasion!
  • For women: Cocktail dresses, elegant midi or maxi dresses, or dressy separates.
  • For men: A button-up shirt with dress pants. A suit is appreciated but not required.
  • Footwear: Please wear proper shoes— preferably no sneakers.
  • No jeans, please.
The way we dress contributes to the attribute we create. If you need more inspiration, check out our Pinterest board! (and if it helps you, our colour theme is muted earthy colours)

Q: Will there be any German wedding traditions?

A: Yes! German weddings often include fun games and guest contributions during the reception. If you'd like to participate, check out the Reception section for more details.

Q: Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

A: We kindly ask that you keep phones and cameras away during the ceremony so our photographer can capture the moment. But feel free to snap and share photos during the reception!

Q: Will there be vegetarian/vegan/gluten-free options?

A: Yes! Please let us know your dietary preferences when you RSVP, and we’ll make sure you’re well taken care of <3
